Sutra 46 is an immersive program designed to fully prepare you to teach yoga from an authentic place of inspiration, knowledge, creativity, and compassion. This program is a culmination of our devoted asana and meditation practices, including thousands of hours in the yoga classroom, along with hard-won courage to shift our energy and our lives through numerous personal breakthroughs. We want to share this empowerment with you through honest expression and teaching yoga.
Our program offers the highest standards of foundational yoga content; philosophy, anatomy and physiology. You will explore your personal layers – awaken to your truth on every level and reconnect to your deepest resources of self-awareness, compassion, and courage.
Next training starts January 2022
We offer a Hatha yoga based practice that balances precise instruction, detailed alignment, breath and fluid movement. A flow of Sun Salutations and postures are skillfully sequenced, and modifications and props are used to individualize the practice for each student. We meet you where you are, whether you want to offer moderately to vigorously paced classes.
We require that you have a minimum of 6 months (and recommend a minimum of one year) of a consistent yoga practice before enrolling in our teacher training program. We want to make sure that trainees have a basic foundation in the primary yoga postures before learning how to teach. If it appears that you do not have the necessary foundation, we will kindly ask you to defer your training until you have this experience.

No problem, just take Part 1. We have designed the first half of the training for those who want to delve deeper into the study of yoga, and to improve their own practice. It’s also great for students who simply want to have a transformational experience and to be a part of a Yoga Community.
We recommend that you check with your physician first and we will require all students to sign a waiver stating that you are able to take the class. Keep in mind that we all have limitations of one kind or another, and these can be our best teachers. Also, minor physical limitations can serve as helpful demonstrations to learn to work with students with similar limitations.
We all bump up against challenges in life, everyone can relate to this. We cultivate our yoga practice expressly for facing difficult times, and the practice delivers. This training is designed to be pro-actively supportive with accountability exercises and lots of encouragement.
